Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has announced that two of the company’s leaders have been fired.
Kayvon Beykpour, General Manager of Consumer, and Bruce Falck, Revenue Product Lead, originally joined the company when Twitter acquired live video streaming app Periscope in 2015.
Since then, Beykpour has been the face of the company at various public forums and appearances, while Falck has driven Twitter’s ad products and tools.
The firings mark a significant shift in Twitter’s history, particularly as it prepares to be acquired by Elon Musk. While the deal is currently on hold, it is clear that the social media platform is looking to make big changes to its operations.
Along these firings, Agrawal recently announced that Twitter will halt its hiring process in order to cut down on costs.
The current CEO is expected to be replaced by Musk by this year, but talks about whether the deal will collapse have ramped up in recent weeks.
