10 Industries Facing The Biggest Job Reshuffle

We’re all highly familiar with the Great Resignation – or, the Great Reshuffle as it has become known. But which sectors are facing the biggest reshuffle?

According to a new report from ResumeBuilder, which polled 1,000 job-seekers in early June, certain industries are indeed more popular with job-hunters than others.

The top three most popular industries among job-seekers are:

  1. Advertising and marketing
  2. Computer and information technology
  3. Health care

Many jobs in advertising, marketing, and IT can offer the flexibility of remote work, which is appealing for people who want to retain the ability to work from home.

However, ResumeBuilder notes that many candidates are actually leaning toward in-person or hybrid jobs vs. fully remote, due to “an increased desire to interact with co-workers again and Zoom fatigue.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly, health care, which is currently the third most popular industry for job-seekers, has “been on a hiring streak since the start of the pandemic” according to the report.

As for the hiring process, flexible schedules topped the list of job-seekers’ priorities. However, with the cost of living continuing to rise, this could soon become overshadowed by the need for better pay and financial stability.

Here’s the full list of the ten most popular industries among job-seekers:

  1. Advertising and marketing
  2. Computer and information technology
  3. Health care
  4. Business and finance
  5. Retail
  6. Food and hospitality
  7. Education
  8. Arts and entertainment
  9. Office and administrative support
  10. Community and social services
