California Is The Top State For Remote Jobs

Remote work has been the ideal choice for many professionals in today’s workforce.

So much so, that some are even willing to quit their position if their employer forces them to return to the office.

For those workers that are ready to fully embrace the life of a remote worker, a survey from Coresignal has been able to identify the best states for at-home positions.

Here are the top states with the largest share of remote jobs:

  7. North Carolina
  8. Arizona
  9. Colorado
  10. Washington

Although it’s unsurprising that California has come out on top due to its high concentration of technology companies, the survey highlights that firms based in Silicon Valley have started to leave the state due to its high cost of living.

For many, this has led to Texas, which is inching closer to taking the number one spot as more prominent companies make the state their new homebase. In fact, remote job availability fell by 5% from 2020 to 2022 in California, giving Texas the upper hand in the future.

As a result, how companies in certain states approach remote work will indicate their attraction and retention rates in the near future.
