A Texas coworking operator is continuing its Houston expansion as the demand for alternative workspaces grows.
WorkSuites announced that it has leased its fifth Houston location in the city’s Greenway area. The deal will see the operator take up nearly 30,000 square feet at the 20-story Weslayan Tower.
This brings WorkSuites total office takeup in the city to 123,697 square feet.
“Half of our clients usually live close to the office, and the other half are employees of larger companies who commute from all over,” said Flip Howard, CEO of WorkSuites.
Moving forward, the firm expects to continue expanding in Texas and the south. Last May, it opened two locations in Atlanta, the company’s first spaces outside of its home state.
Although Texas has repeatedly led the pack in office returns, the demand for flexibility at work has permeated throughout the entire country as the workforce becomes more distributed.
