WeWork-owned Common Desk will open a new location in San Antonio as it continues to establish its place in Texas’ flexible office market.
The new location will feature a $1 million renovation of Travis Park Plaza, including transforming 20,000 square feet of existing office space that aims to be completed by April of 2023.
Texas has become a sort of hub for remote workers and corporations in recent years thanks to its tax-friendly incentives and lower cost of living.
As a result, the flex industry in the area has exploded in popularity, with Houston recently ranking number one for flexible office growth according to CBRE.
WeWork itself has fought to find its footing in recent months, opening new locations and closing some unprofitable ones. Fortunately, skyrocketing coworking demand and a nearly full revamp of its business model, giving WeWork and its affiliates a chance to improve its reputation in the eyes of investors.
