The market for workspace management is heating up, and competition is intensifying. Case in point, software giant Yardi Systems has just acquired Planimetron, which provides space management tools for commercial property operators and owners. Â
Planimetron was founded in 1983, and utilizes occupancy and performance data to supports visual decisions, identifying opportunities and potential risks in a real estate portfolio.Â
Propidex, Planimetron’s space management platform, will be rebuilt under Yardi’s ownership and incorporated into CommercialEdge, Yardi’s suite of revenue-focused solutions.
Established in 1984, Yardi has become a leading provider of software solutions for the real estate industry. Alongside the growing flexible space market, Yardi is focusing on space management software for coworking and flex office brands.Â
In July this year, Yardi launched WeWork Workplace to provide interactive floor maps, management systems for visitor access, automated overflow management and a solution for reserving team space. Â
The company also launched CoworkingCafe.com, a suite of coworking and flex office tools, and acquired a news and information source, CoworkingMag.Â
