Want To Be A Digital Nomad But Don’t Know Where To Start? This Calculator Will Point You To The Ideal Country

More and more professionals are seeking information about becoming digital nomads as remote work takes hold of the workforce.

With numerous countries introducing their own digital nomad visas in the new year, it may be tempting for a remote worker to pack their bags and book a flight to Spain, but there is much to consider before making the move.

To make the transition easier and more attainable, nomad couple Goats on the Road created a Digital Nomad Visa calculator. Many digital nomad visas require going through an application process, where workers will be asked about their salary that can determine their eligibility.

Through the Digital Nomad Visa calculator, digital nomad hopefuls can easily plug in the relevant information and see whether they are eligible for a visa.

The calculator first prompts the user to enter their salary, which will then populate countries with digital nomad visas that the worker would likely be accepted to.

When using the calculator, it was found that Colombia, Germany and Portugal were the countries that had the lowest salary requirements, with each country expecting less than $1,000 in monthly earnings.

On the higher end, the Cayman Islands requires digital nomad hopefuls to make around $8,333 a month ,or $100,000 a year.
