Flexible workspace provider IWG is launching its HQ brand in Bangalore, India.
The announcement is part of the firm’s fast expansion into India’s key markets. According to a report published by the Economic Times, IWG has plans to double its presence in the country in the next 12 – 18 months. It’s reported that IWG currently operates 100 centers in India, and the planned expansions would land the firm in the top 5 providers in the country.
The introduction of the HQ brand in India’s tech capital marks another milestone in IWG’s commitment to meet the growing demand for flexible workspaces around the world.
According to a report published by The Print, the first two HQ centers in Bangalore, spanning close to 10,000 sq. ft. each, offer state-of-the-art coworking spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, and creative zones. The spaces are designed to cater to the needs of established firms and startups across various industries, including IT, Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), Telecom, Pharma, and Biotech.
Just like its expansion plan in major metro areas across the U.S., IWG is focused on the benefits of a “15-minute city,” allowing members to work close to their homes.
The launch of HQ in Bangalore follows IWG’s record quarterly revenue and rapid network growth, adding more than 850 new locations worldwide in 2023. Over the past year, the flexible workspace provider has been actively pursuing an aggressive expansion strategy in markets around the world and posted record revenue of $3.3 billion.
As traditional office occupancy continues to decline, IWG predicts that 30 percent of all commercial real estate will be flexible workspace by 2030.
