WeWork Returns to NYC with First New Location Since 2019

The lease comes as WeWork plans to invest up to $100 million globally in 2025 to upgrade its portfolio.

WeWork has signed a 60,000-square-foot lease at 250 Broadway, an office tower in Lower Manhattan owned by AmTrust RE. The flexible workspace provider will occupy five floors—24, 25, and 27 through 29—with the new location expected to open in December, according to WeWork’s pressroom.

This marks a continued push into key markets for WeWork, which already operates more than 3 million square feet across New York City. The company is positioning the new location as a premium offering designed to meet rising demand for flexible, high-quality office environments.

The space will include coworking lounges, private offices, and meeting rooms, along with wellness and mothers’ rooms. It will feature upgraded lighting, acoustics, and furnishings, aligning with WeWork’s latest design standards.

The lease comes as WeWork plans to invest up to $100 million globally in 2025 to upgrade its portfolio. In New York City, demand has been trending upward: the company reports a 10% increase in bookings for its All Access membership from January to April 2025, alongside a 6% rise in foot traffic.
