Google has rolled out a new educational platform designed to accelerate skill development in artificial intelligence and related technical fields, according to their new release.

The platform, called Google Skills, brings together close to 3,000 courses, labs, and certification programs from across Google’s ecosystem — including Google Cloud, DeepMind, and Google for Education — into one accessible destination.

The service targets a broad audience, welcoming everyone from beginners and students to experienced developers and company leaders. It offers a range of learning options, from foundational AI courses to advanced research-oriented material, alongside quick, digestible modules for those pressed for time.

Interactive, hands-on learning is a cornerstone of the platform, with AI-powered coding labs enabling users to apply skills immediately. Google incorporates gamified elements to enhance learner engagement, with a striking 95% of participants reporting improved motivation through these features.

Maximize Flexible Space Revenue

For organizations, Google Skills extends beyond individual learning by providing tailored team training, performance tracking, and competitive leaderboards.

The platform also serves as a bridge to employment by linking certified learners to a network of over 150 companies, which actively recruit candidates from Google’s certification programs.

Notably, many of the offerings are free or included at no extra cost. Google Cloud customers gain unrestricted access to the full course library, developers receive monthly free credits to explore labs, and public institutions can participate through Google’s Career Launchpad initiative.

Google noted that more than 26 million courses and credentials were completed by learners in the past year alone — a testament to the growing demand for AI and tech skills worldwide.
