New Website Lets Job Seekers Publicly Report Employers That Ghost Candidates

Job seekers can now anonymously report companies that stop responding after interviews, putting hiring practices under scrutiny.

A new website is giving job seekers a way to publicly document employers that stop communicating during the hiring process.

DidTheyGhostYou.com allows candidates to anonymously report companies that allegedly failed to provide a hiring decision after interviews. The platform is designed as a crowdsourced record of interview ghosting, with submissions reviewed before publication. Applications that are still in progress are not eligible for listing, and employers can request corrections if information is inaccurate.

Growing Frustration With Hiring Practices

The platform reflects mounting frustration among job seekers who say they invest significant time preparing applications and interviews, only to receive no response from employers, according to LinkedIn News.

Interview ghosting has become a common complaint in today’s job market, with candidates frequently describing experiences where communication ends without a rejection or update after one or more interviews.

By collecting these reports in one place, the site aims to increase transparency around employer communication during the hiring process.

Could Public Accountability Change Hiring?

The launch has sparked discussion over whether publicly documenting interview ghosting could encourage employers to improve candidate communication.

Supporters argue that greater transparency could push organizations to provide timely updates and treat applicants more respectfully. Others question whether public reporting will significantly change hiring practices, particularly as employers continue managing high application volumes.

While it remains to be seen whether the platform influences recruiting behavior, it highlights growing expectations that employers maintain communication throughout the hiring process.
