IWG Acquires French Coworking Operator Wojo To Expand European Footprint

The acquisition follows IWG's purchase of Germany's Design Offices, continuing the company's expansion through major European coworking operators.

International Workplace Group (IWG) has completed its acquisition of French flexible workspace operator Wojo, expanding its presence in France and strengthening its European network. The deal, approved by the French Competition Authority, sees IWG acquire Wojo from Bouygues Immobilier and Accor, according to Coworking Europe.

IWG Grows Its French Network

Founded in 2015 and rebranded as Wojo in 2019, the company operates 17 coworking and flexible office locations across France, including sites in Paris, Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Brest, La Défense, and Issy-les-Moulineaux. Its portfolio spans nearly 100,000 square meters and serves more than 900 companies.

With the acquisition, IWG’s operated network in France grows to approximately 157 flexible workspace centers, adding to its existing brands, including Regus, Spaces, HQ, Signature, Stop & Work, and Factories.

Hospitality Network Expands Across Europe

Beyond its owned locations, Wojo provides access to hundreds of partner workspaces, many located within Accor hotels across France and other European destinations.

The acquisition broadens IWG’s hospitality-focused workspace offering and expands its reach across Europe, giving customers access to both companies’ networks.

The transaction follows IWG’s acquisition of German flexible workspace operator Design Offices earlier this year, reflecting the company’s strategy of expanding through acquisitions alongside organic growth.

IWG now operates more than 4,000 flexible workspace locations across more than 120 countries, continuing to build its presence in key European markets.
