Ricky Kapur, head of Asia Pacific at Zoom, believes that the video conferencing company will continue to be relevant even after the pandemic has subsided.
As companies make the commitment to a more hybrid work model, Kapur says there will be three significant changes that impact how businesses operate post-pandemic.
For starters, Kapur stated that companies are thinking about how to create an inclusive, hybrid work environment that accommodates the growing demand for workplace flexibility.
Second, leaders will revamp their customer engagement to improve their consumer experience.
“Whether it’s a retail experience, the ability to live feed into the store and speak with a live person — see a product, have a real conversation, and then make a purchase decision. Consumers are expecting that from companies,” said Kapur.
Third, digitally centric companies are expanding their services and platforms to help improve the experience of other industries, such as healthcare and education.
Although Zoom’s revenue rose 35% from the year prior by the end of October, it was down from the 54% seen in the previous quarter.
Still, Kapur believes the increasingly hybrid and flexible workforce will need services like Zoom to provide seamless communication for professionals no matter where they are located.
“The numbers tell us that customers are still investing and continuing to invest in Zoom post-pandemic,” said Kapur.
