Salesforce has been at the forefront of employee-centric environments for years and is now taking this strategy a step further by introducing a corporate retreat as part of their perks.
The company has signed an agreement with 1440 Multiversity for an employee working center, which they will call Trailblazer Ranch, in Scotts Valley, California.
The site, known as 1440 Multiversity, is an established retreat center and just 15 minutes from Santa Cruz, California.
Salesforce employees will be able to come to the center for a myriad of team-building exercises, including onboarding, training, socializing, yoga classes, meditation sessions, and more. Additionally, the space features 140 living suites, a dining hall, an amphitheater, firepits, and more.
“We’ll collaborate with 1440 Multiversity to develop employee engagement programs, applying our joint research and learnings to future programs,” said Brent Hyder, President and Chief People Officer at Salesforce. “Starting in March, we will host onboarding, trainings, skills building, and talent development, bringing our employees together to connect in person.”
Not only will the center contribute to encouraging collaboration and socialization among workers, but it will also be a chance to “improve best practices on corporate culture, right action, community involvement, corporate social responsibility, and employee wellness” according to
Katie Denbo, Senior Director of Marketing Strategy at 1440 Multiversity.
Hyder added that hybrid working will undoubtedly define the future of work, so the company wants to identify and apply unique methods of bringing colleagues together in a meaningful way.
Last year, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff stated that he hopes to build a Disneyland-like property that is dedicated solely to nurturing company culture.
“We’re looking at maybe buying a large piece of land, maybe a large ranch in the United States or some other type of acreage where we can build the next generation of Crotonville,” said Benioff.
