Real estate services company Avison Young has appointed two former WeWork employees for the launch of its UK flexible workspace team.
Martin Devine, former head of broker and agent development for WeWork UK and Ireland, has come on as principal. Additionally, former senior associate at WeWork Robbie MacDonald will join as an associate director.
This move comes over two years after Avison Young created its US flexible office firm under the leadership of Charlie Morris, who was the former business development director at LiquidSpace.
Together, Devine, Robbie, and Morris will “promote cross-border insights” as demand for hybrid and flexible working continues to proliferate across the world.
“With the universal debate around office occupancy ongoing, flex advice is a core area of focus for us,” said Jason Sibthorpe, principal and UK president at Avison Young. “The market won’t settle down overnight, and there is a real need for strategic advice for investors, occupiers and operators, to support businesses and their workforces in finding an adaptable solution that works for them.”
Using Devine’s experience with leading flexible occupier deals in London and Dublin, Avison Young aims to adapt to the new needs of their clients and keep up with the evolution of the real estate market.
