A new survey by WorldAtWork shows that employee turnover rates are below forecasts for the Great Resignation.
“Workforce Planning in the Great Resignation Era,” which was completed in partnership with UFlexReward, shows that although voluntary resignations are still higher than the pre-pandemic era, it has only grown by 3% in the US since that time.
According to respondents that included employees and job seekers, remote work and achieving a work-life balance were their top workplace priorities overall. To reduce turnover rates, respondents added that recruiting, DEI efforts, employee recognition, and performance management would help.
“We see that the most effective actions employers are taking to reduce turnover relate to remote work and work/life balance. Of organizations who have implemented or are currently implementing action in HR policies, 87% are adding remote work options which shows their recognition of the importance and effectiveness of work/life balance on retention and recruitment,” said Deirdre Macbeth, Content Director at WorldatWork.
