Recently reinstated Disney exec Bob Iger has informed workers they must return to the office at least four days a week.
According to the CEO’s email to staff, he emphasized the importance of in-person collaboration for the company, adding “nothing can replace the ability to connect, observe, and create with peers that comes from being physically together…”
A four-day workweek is a more stern approach to the hybrid arrangement, with many other companies opting for at least three days in the office when transitioning to hybrid models.
Iger’s return to the company in November came with the caveat of reorganizing Disney’s Media & Entertainment Distribution team, while also keeping a hiring freeze that was implemented by former CEO Bob Chapek.
Employees are expected to abide by the new hybrid model starting March 1.
