International Workplace Group (IWG) has added two new flexible office locations in Budapest, marking a calculated expansion in response to growing demand for adaptable work environments. The openings contribute to IWG’s bigger effort to grow its footprint in Central and Eastern Europe.
The first site, located at Paulay Ede Street in central Budapest, opened in February. Spanning three floors and more than 1,000 square meters, it includes 25 private offices, shared workspaces, meeting rooms, and amenities such as terraces and on-site parking. The building is easily accessible via public transit and caters to a range of tenants from small startups to mid-sized firms, according to Budapest Business Journal.Â
A second facility was launched in April at Madarász Office Park in District XIII, a well-established commercial zone. This site features 36 private offices, conference areas, phone booths, kitchen space, a lounge, and parking facilities. Both locations are operated under IWG’s Regus brand and offer customization options for tenants seeking tailored office layouts.
The expansion signals increasing interest in flexible workspace models within the commercial real estate sector. With companies reevaluating long-term office needs, developers and landlords are increasingly turning to providers to maximize occupancy and respond to changing tenant expectations.
IWG operates thousands of centers across more than 120 countries and continues to target urban business hubs for new openings. Industry forecasts suggest that flexible workspaces could account for up to 30% of global office space by 2030, driven by rising demand for cost-efficient workplace models.
