International Workplace Group (IWG) is ramping up its expansion across Egypt as demand for flexible office space continues to grow among businesses and workers embracing hybrid work, according to Zawya.ย
The company, which operates workspace brands including International Workplace Group, said Egypt has become one of its fastest-growing markets, helping support strong first-quarter results in 2026.
IWF Targets 150 Flexible Workspaces in Egypt by 2030
IWG plans to expand its Egyptian network to 150 locations by 2030, betting that companies will continue shifting toward hybrid work models to reduce office costs while giving employees greater flexibility.
The strategy comes as many workers seek alternatives to Cairo’s lengthy daily commutes, which can stretch several hours, while employers look for ways to lower real estate expenses.
Major New Cairo Hub Planned
Among the company’s upcoming projects is Spaces at The Arc in New Cairo, which is expected to become the largest flexible workspace in IWG’s global portfolio.
The development is part of a broader push to increase the availability of flexible office space across Egypt as demand rises from both local businesses and multinational firms.
For Egypt, the results underscore how hybrid work is altering office demand and turning the country into a key growth market for flexible workspace operators.
