CBRE is furthering its coworking footprint with the launch of Above & Beyond (A&B), an initiative that combines coworking spaces, amenities, and technology throughout 20 office buildings.
A&B will offer amenity packages, artificial intelligence-powered services, and feature more hospitality to those in the building.
“Like co-work, our concept has a physical component — the space — and an amenity component,” said Robert Perry, head of the CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. fund series. “That’s what you think about when you think about WeWork, for example: cool space and interesting amenities.”
A&B will redevelop spaces within buildings into a place where workers from various companies can work together and include outdoor space.
It will work off of the company’s current amenity program, 5-Star Worldwide, and transform “passing through” areas of buildings into congregation spaces. For example, in some office buildings, lobbies would turn into A&B unless the space was too small.
CBRE’s Host app will also be implemented into the concept, allowing users to connect to building amenities and services.
So far, A&B will be rolled out in Chicago, Dallas, Anaheim, Washington D.C, and Atlanta beginning in April.
