Research from flexible workspace finder Officio suggests that the many London businesses considering moving into flexible offices is due to Brexit.
The data revealed that companies inquiring into flexible workplace options grew by 31% this year.
“While the number of deals done has fallen slightly, the value of the deals and the contract length both increased which also indicates that larger firms are taking up flexible workspace,” said Chris Meredith, CEO of Officio. “With Brexit remaining unresolved and business uncertainty increasing we expect to see the trend towards flexible workspace increase further this year.”
Demand rose by 64% over the past 12 months in London’s Square Mile, while flexible office take up also increased by 62% in Canary Wharf.
