Blumhouse Productions has been working on a movie based on the tumultuous rise and fall of coworking provider WeWork in collaboration with Universal Pictures.
The film will largely focus on co-founder and former CEO Adam Neumann. It will be partly based on reporting by journalist Katrina Brooker, whose book on WeWork is expected to be published soon.
Blumhouse has called on screenwriter Charles Randolph, known for winning an Oscar for the screenplay of The Big Short, to help write the film.
This film is not related to the Business Insider documentary that is currently in works in partnership with studio Campfire.
