Dublin Coworking Market Thrives Despite Brexit Doubt

Despite Brexit uncertainty hanging over Ireland’s economy, the country’s startup community is healthier than ever, with 55 new companies being formed on a daily basis.

Thanks to this thriving startup community, demand for coworking spaces has also grown. In fact, Dublin has been ranked fourth for coworking hotspots in Europe according to a report from Cushman & Wakefield.

The increased amount of coworking spaces comes from workers who want flexibility, as well as an environment that supports a collaborative community.

Coworking spaces also provide numerous amenities that aren’t commonly seen at traditional offices, such a social activities, wellness classes and workshops.

Mike Hannigan, founder of Dublin-based coworking firm Coworking, said that remote workers flock to these spaces in search for a community that can’t be attained in a coffee shop or at home.

Furthermore, coworking spaces are much more cost effective than typical offices. To put it in perspective, the average rent reached an all-time high of €1,391 per month recently, but coworking prices ranges between €200 and €350 per month.
