Coworking operators have gone beyond traditional cubicles to offer workers an array of amenities that help balance work and life. This has led to more demand for flexibility at workspaces everywhere, so companies are taking note and ensuring their offices are complete with everything today’s workforce may need.
Some operators are adopting 24/7 access, tech support, security, as well as all-night cafes, sleeping nooks and laundry services.
“It’s easier for a coworking space to offer all these facilities 24/7, because operating costs can be divided across a larger number of people,” said Varun Chawla, co-founder of India coworking space 91springboard. “To be a better employer, you have focus on what a person is producing rather than being a clock-watcher. The booming of the gig economy is also creating a demand for flexible workspaces.”
For Ridhesh Sejpal, founder of Goodfellas Studios, choosing 91springboard was ideal because his employees have a tight turnaround time and oftentimes employees have to work all night.
