Workers Want A Hybrid Workforce

A new survey from Salesforce has found that remote working is not necessarily for everyone. More specifically, 64% of over 3,500 respondents said they prefer hybrid work arrangements, revealing the desire to spend some work hours in the office.

The rise of remote working is unavoidable as research has proven it boosts productivity, retention rates and lowers overhead costs. Still, finding a balance between working from home and in the office will be essential for companies moving forward.

But as companies prepare to welcome employees back into the workplace, only 43% of respondents said they have been offered clear communication on reopening strategies. For instance, companies should make it clear how employees should commute to the workplace as public transportation is a haven for virus exposure. Instead, encourage workers to either continue working from home or find another means of commuting.

Some have created specific methods of bringing workers back in, such as Cushman & Wakefieldโ€™s โ€œSix Feet Officeโ€ that uses signage emphasizing distancing and installing barriers to ensure that workers stay safe.
