American Express Global Business Travel has launched a new program that aims to help remote employees find alternative offices to work in or meet up with colleagues.
The Workspaces tool provides flexible options for these workers in partnership with Dublin-based company Meetingsbooker.
Users of Amex GBT’s Meetings Express platform can gain access to 150,000 properties across various hotels and coworking spaces in the U.S.
The program will include hotel rooms that have been transformed into offices with desks and other office-like amenities.
“We all understand the value of face-to-face interactions, and that remote workers need to meet with colleagues, partners and customers, when and where they can do so safely,” said Wesley Bergstrom, vice-president, global supplier partnerships at Amex GBT. “And we recognize that remote workers sometimes need quiet space away from home, where they can work undisturbed.”
Other companies have jumped on this trend too, with Leonardo Hotels teaming up with IWG to transform 2,000 square meters of hotel rooms into private offices at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Amsterdam.
