A recent study conducted by communications agency Zeno Group shows that organizations are underestimating the spike in employee turnover rates due to changing attitudes towards work.
A New Mindset at Work: The Evolving Workplace in 2021 surveyed over 4,000 professionals across four markets to better understand how the relationship between leaders and employees has changed over the last year or so.
According to the survey, 57% of UK employees believe companies should make significant changes in how they manage their workforce beyond hybrid working.
In fact, 77% of respondents said that more interesting work would increase their job loyalty, while 71% said opportunities to progress their career would do so. Across all markets, employees stated being satisfied with their security on the job, but were dissatisfied with growth opportunities.
Additionally, nearly half of UK professionals stated that post-pandemic mental health has become more valuable to them. While 76% stated they want the ability to work from home throughout the week, 46% are concerned that remote working may lead to increased feelings of stress or anxiety.
