Amy Nelson no longer serves as president of SaksWorks, a coworking venture where WeWork operates workspaces in Saks Fifth Avenue stores.
SaksWorks emerged over the summer through its parent company Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) and now has two locations in Manhattan’s Financial District and in Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue. It also has plans to open a new location at Brookfield Place in Manhattan.
It is still unclear why Nelson, who also founded the female-oriented coworking company The Riveter, has stepped down.
“Amy Nelson joined HBC to bring SaksWorks to market,” SaksWorks wrote in an email to Commercial Observer. “With our initial locations off the ground, Amy has moved on to her next venture and we wish her the best of luck.”
