Yoga has long been tied improved mental health and practicing it in the workplace has been linked to reduced stress.
“Yoga at work could be one of the chosen programs to reduce stress levels, and usually requires low investment, with minimal equipment,” said Laura Maria Puerto Valencia, the Bavarian Health and Food and Safety Authority in Munich, Germany.
Still, it is hard to identify whether yoga itself can be credited with improved well-being, or if the culture of the workplace is responsible.
Puerto Valencia said companies who include yoga within the workplace are seeking a low-stress environment, increasing overall job performance and satisfaction.
