A new global study from Lenovo has found that small and medium-sized businesses want to see improvements to the technology offered in the workplace.
The research also claims that SMBs “appear to have fallen behind” on offering a positive employee experience.
In order to boost employee experience, which would reduce turnover, Lenovo suggests that SMBs start listening to employee feedback. The report found that employees in SMBs mostly work on desktop computers, with three quarters of workers having no access cloud-based technology.
This means SMBs should start investing more into mobile and portable devices, as well as smart technology to improve the employee experience.
“While benefits and financial incentives remain important for attracting and retaining staff, SMB efforts must also be willing to invest in future tools and technology that are mobile, flexible and inclusive,” said Dilip Bhatia, Vice President of Global User and Customer Experience at Lenovo.
