A new report from Canva finds that there is more to future work trends than the shift to hybrid work models.
The Bridging the Hybrid Workforce Divide report surveyed 1,000 employees and revealed that 21% of employees will continue to work remotely, while 38% anticipate working in a hybrid arrangement. This indicates that at least 41% of employees will be working onsite full-time.
Additionally, 78% of respondents stated that promoting participation and inclusion across onsite and remote employees has proven to be a challenge.
Although many companies incorporated several new communication and collaboration tools over the past year, 77% of employees still felt that collaboration was more difficult throughout the pandemic and 84% believed better technologies are required for a truly innovative virtual workforce.
Along with this, employees need proper training when using these new tools to prevent work-related frustration when trying to get through the work day. This was validated by the 45% of respondents who said they struggled when using presentation software.
