Salesforce has officially completed its acquisition of Slack. The $27.7 billion dollar deal will see Slack added to Salesforce’s suit of enterprise software.
Speaking about the deal, Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce said: “Together we’ll define the future of enterprise software, creating the digital HQ that enables every organization to deliver customer and employee success from anywhere.”
The acquisition will allow Salesforce to become a dominant player in the remote-first software solution arena. Having the backing of Salesforce will allow Slack to become a stronger competitor to email and the likes of Microsoft.
