Design studio Denizen has engineered a new workspace that aims to be as agile as possible.
The Smartpod is a 3D-printed, capsule-shaped mobile office that can be installed nearly anywhere. Equipped with the necessary workplace essentials, the pod is also built using sustainable materials and is recyclable.
This new alternative workspace aims to accommodate the growing demand for flexible and remote working arrangements.
Smartpod is just 90 square feet, with 10-foot ceilings and features a lounge and reading nook, a mini-fridge, an adjustable desk, WiFi and a whiteboard.
“Denizen office pods are designed like consumer products, not conventional buildings, making them the perfect place to leverage advanced technology — like 3D printing, robotic fabrication, and integrated connectivity,” the creators of the Smartpod said.
At the moment, Smartpod is still in the project phase and it is uncertain whether it will officially enter the market or not.
