Sales and marketing software platform company HubSpot saw its employee base grow by 39% last year.
The Massachusetts-based company added over 1,600 employees to its roster according to its annual public filing. As of December 31, 2021, HubSpot employs a total of 5,895 full-time employees, with 2,964 of these employees operating fully remote.
According to HubSpot spokesperson Sophie Hamersley, all areas of the company grew last year, including sales, services, marketing, engineering, people operations, and more.
As a result of this workforce growth, HubSpot will grow its two-floor footprint at 2 Canal Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts and lease the entire space by the end of the year.
The growth in demand for HubSpot’s services makes sense as the number of distributed and hybrid teams across the country continues to grow.
In addition to HubSpot’s increase in headcount, the company also saw a change in leadership, with Yamini Rangan replacing Brian Halligan as CEO.
