A new report from FlexJobs shows that listings for remote jobs grew by 12% in 2021.
For those curious about the world of remote working, there has never been a better time to seek out a position than now.
Many of these jobs fall within customer service or sales marketing, but companies have started expanding their remote policies that allows a wider variety of roles to be performed through this work arrangement.
According to FlexJobs’ career services manager Brie Reynolds, HR and recruiting saw the largest uptick in remote listings as a result of massive resignation rates requiring these roles.
Companies that are hiring HR professionals remotely have a better chance of bouncing back from the Great Resignation faster, while expanding their talent pool and bringing in more diverse voices
Accounting and finance were the second fastest-growing industry for remote jobs, with Reynolds stating this is due to companies needing these professionals during a time when many are facing budget constraints and increased financial pressure.
Remote working is an inevitable part of the future of work and has been so since prior to the pandemic, but leaders are finally coming to an understanding of just how important these policies will be to the longevity of their business.
“Businesses are changing at a rapid rate and trying to hire people to predict what will happen in the future, and how to plan accordingly,” said Reynolds.
