Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow users to pin posts to their profile just above their photo grid.
Through this new feature, Instagram users will see a “Pin to your profile” option, offering them a chance to showcase their favorite posts that would normally get lost on their profile.
This add-on mimics the current feature that gives users the chance to pin Stories to their profile, and is similar to Twitter’s pinned tweet option.
Instagram has been undergoing many changes over the last several months. For instance, the company revealed it is exploring removing the “Recent” tab on its hashtag pages. Additionally, it reintroduced its high-in-demand chronological feed.
The social media platform also recently introduced a feature that makes discovering and supporting social causes and charities easier through hashtag searches, such as #BlackLivesMatter and #climatecrisis.
