Target has announced that its Minneapolis headquarters will provide permanent hybrid arrangements for its 8,500 employees.
“We really saw this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reshape the future of work and the experience of work,” said Melissa Kremer, chief human resources officer at Target.
Through the new policy, employees will have a choice in their weekly schedule and will not have a set requirement for time in the office. Target, which is downtown Minneapolis’ largest employer, also reconfigured its downtown offices to feature new “flex floors” that include a variety of spaces to support all work styles.
By adopting this arrangement, Target aims to retain and attract new talent, as well as ensure that their employees continue to enjoy the flexibility the last few years have offered.
