According to Bernard Marr, author of “Future Skills: The 20 Skills and Competencies Everyone Needs to Succeed in a Digital World,” the key to thriving in the future of work is having both the technical and soft skills needed to work alongside modern technology without sacrificing the human touch.

Marr outlines some of the 20 skills employers will be seeking in the next decade, including:

1. Digital Literacy 

The ability to learn and adapt to new technology will be crucial. Having a willingness to understand digital advancements shows employers that prospects are eager to expand their existing skills and knowledge.   

2. Data Literacy 

Similarly, employees must be able to analyze and apply data where necessary in order to boost business, resolve issues and find new insights.
