Chipotle Mexican Grill is partnering with Paradox to implement AI-driven hiring across its restaurants. The initiative introduces a virtual assistant, “Ava Cado,” to streamline the recruitment process, potentially reducing hiring time by up to 75%, according to Chipotle’s press release.
“Paradox is currently being introduced in a phased approach across more than 3,500 restaurant locations, with plans for completion this month. The recruiting system aims to decrease the time to hire, reduce job advertising costs, increase hiring for hard-to-fill roles, and improve candidate experience,” according to the release.
Ava Cado will chat with candidates, answer questions, gather information, schedule interviews, and extend job offers, operating in multiple languages.
While this move aims to enhance efficiency and improve the candidate experience, it raises questions about the growing reliance on AI in hiring practices.
As Chipotle targets expansion to 7,000 locations in North America, the company hopes this technology will allow managers to focus more on their teams and customer service.
