Thailand has launched a new initiative aimed at capturing a larger share of the growing digital nomad market. The campaign, called “LOCO(AL) Working Space,” encourages remote workers to live and work within authentic Thai communities while staying connected, according to Travel Mole.
Supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the effort promotes unique work environments, referred to as”‘SPACE TONES,” designed to enhance productivity, creativity, and well-being.
The campaign highlights popular digital nomad hubs such as Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Phuket, offering a mix of traditional culture and modern amenities. It aims to create spaces where remote workers can blend professional responsibilities with local experiences.
The initiative encourages digital nomads to engage deeply with Thailand’s culture by sampling regional foods, participating in traditional crafts, supporting community-made products, exploring nature, and seeking mindfulness. The overall goal is to encourage a meaningful connection between work and place, moving beyond the conventional remote work setup.
This campaign shows Thailand’s effort to establish itself as a welcoming destination for remote workers seeking a balanced lifestyle that combines work with cultural immersion.
