Kube Suite

New York-based coworking operator Convene will finally open its first international location in London in early May after years of renegotiations.

Initially, the company planned to open the space in September of 2020 after signing a lease for 102,000 square feet at 22 Bishopsgate in August of 2019, but the pandemic caused massive delays to these plans.

As a result, the company walked back on signing a traditional lease and will occupy the space through an operational agreement with investment firm AXA IM Alt.

Now, the company will take up 51,000 square feet across two floors that will feature meeting rooms with a capacity of 400 people that will open on May 3 of this year.

Members that use the space will have access to Convene’s network of flexible workspaces, as well as have the ability to host in-person and virtual events.

Convene beat out the likes of WeWork and now-defunct Knotel to take up the space in what is the second tallest skyscraper in the City of London.

“22 Bishopsgate will be an incredible space to hold an event, incorporating Convene’s legendary hospitality services and award-winning interior design touches, in a distraction-free environment,” Convene said in a statement back in August of 2021. “Moreover, the space will be capable of hosting hybrid meetings and events via Convene Studio, which is the company’s production services and virtual event technology solution.”
