As the Twitter and Elon Musk deal sits in limbo, the Tesla CEO will attend a virtual all-hands meeting with employees this week.  

The meeting is intended to give employees a chance to ask questions about what to expect from the potential new leadership.

This marks the first time Musk will directly address Twitter staff after he committed to purchasing the platform for $44 billion. However, the deal has since been placed on hold as the billionaire requests more data about Twitter’s spam bot user accounts. 

The tension buildup to this meeting has been through the roof. According to Twitter’s internal Slack channels, the potential acquisition has not been well-received by employees.

Concerns include Musk’s intentions to take the company private and how this may impact employees’ stock and compensation. Additionally, he has made his disdain for remote work known, which goes against Twitter’s remote-friendly policies it has embraced since the beginning of the pandemic.
