Billionaire Edmond Safra and restaurateur Juan Santa Cruz are teaming up to open a new exclusive club in New York — with a twist.

On the 37th floor of the city’s GM building, the new Colette club will feature a high-end coworking space for leaders to hold private meetings.

Slated to open in March of 2023, Colette will include 23 private offices, conference desks, seating areas, video conferencing capabilities, temperature and lighting controls, a members lounge, and more.

“We did market research, not only to understand the competitive landscape, but also to understand people’s needs,” said Santa Cruz. “What we came to realize is that people love service.”

On-site staff will be available to bring coffee and snacks, make copies, call cars, usher guests into meetings for members, and more.

But being a member of Colette isn’t for the faint of heart. With a starting cap of 300 members, shares in the club cost $125,000 in addition to annual fees coming to $36,000. Members do have the ability to sell off their shares at any point, however.

Aside from the working space itself, members can enjoy the GM building’s other amenities, such as a fitness center and Coco, the club’s restaurant.

Lavish coworking spaces are becoming increasingly common within the industry as landlords find ways to diversify their buildings and boost revenue. The flexibility of these spaces supports the embrace of remote working, particularly among executives and other leaders.
