Japanese architect Kengo Kuma has introduced a new line of satellite coworking spaces that aim to marry design, culture and comfort.
Through Kuma Mobile Offices, or KuMo Offices, employees at Kengo Kuma and other professionals can access a variety of workspaces throughout Japan.
The first KuMo Office model is the KAGU House located in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, complete with Hokkaido-derived wooden design, a kitchen, restrooms, a meeting space and a living area for up to 12 people.
Along with the accommodations for both work and leisure, the space also incorporates the basic needs for every day, including tall windows for an abundance of natural light, a desk integrated into the walls, shelving and more.
According to the company, KuMo Offices will all be connected, allowing users to seamlessly move between each space and network with coworkers and like-minded professionals.
“We would like to work with everyone at KuMO, and contribute to local communities all over Japan,” Kengo Kuma said in a statement.
