What’s going on:
This week, Google announced the launch of Apprentice Bard, a chatbot service equipped with artificial intelligence capable of generating text and other content for its search results.
Apprentice Bard is seen as a direct response to the challenge of Microsoft’s popular AI chatbot, ChatGPT, which has made waves in recent months.
Why it matters:
Prabhakar Raghavan, a senior vice president at Google, said this AI-powered feature could revolutionize the way people interact with information, as well as other companies.
How it’ll impact the future:
Raghavan boasts that the introduction of an AI-enabled search engine can better connect businesses to potential clients and open up a world of networking opportunities.
“They might help a local baker collaborate on a cake design with a client, or a toymaker dream up a new creation,” said Raghavan.
