At this year’s Flex Summit, experts and analysts discussed the rapidly evolving workspace and what to expect from the future of the workforce.

According to Taher Behbehani, General Manager of Samsung Electronics’ B2B division, it is clear that Generation Y, which accounts for over a third of the country’s labor force, prefers open, flexible workspaces. Behbehani referred to this as the “5G space”.

More so, it was revealed that coworking spaces have grown by 240% internationally over the past three years and working from home has grown by 140% since 2005.

Behbehani believes that the leap to 5G technology will further enable business transformation. Using the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G phone, Behbehani demonstrated how 5G’s speed will create a new way of working. With this phone, users can capture videos, take notes on a digital white board, record voice, and then share it with colleagues from around the world via the cloud.
