Flexible workspace operators have been pioneers in incorporating wellness into the workplace DNA and the trend is here to stay. Though many flexible workspace providers started by offering weekly yoga or meditation classes, they are now offering a more holistic and comprehensive wellness strategy.
Some coworking spaces now have dedicated areas for yoga, pilates, and meditation. Other’s have quiet areas, massage rooms, and even complete boxing and gym facilities. The flexible workspace industry is also addressing mental health by helping members feel safe when they talk about stress, depression, and anxiety. WeWork, for its part, is introducing puppy therapy sessions to relieve stress and Fora is providing members with  sleep pods to make sure they recharge and don’t burn out.
Wellness is being incorporated through amenities and add on services, but also through design. Increasingly more companies are embracing biophilic design and taking more heed of their air quality and noise levels.
