Employers struggling with attracting and retaining top talent need to be ready to meet the needs of Gen Z according to LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky.
Roslansky warned leaders that the Great Reshuffle is leading workers to seek new positions that best suit their needs.
“People are switching jobs at a higher rate than ever before as they figure out not only how and where they work, but why they work,” said Roslansky. “What’s fascinating to look at is the fact that the Great Reshuffle has played out differently among generations.”
Job-hopping has been mostly driven by younger professionals such as Gen Z and Millennials, while Baby Boomers were seen as most loyal to their jobs.
But what is the motivation for this Great Reshuffle? According to Roslansky, it stems from a desire to be motivated and inspired.
The war for talent is hotter than ever. With inflation causing the cost of living to skyrocket, employees are seeking positions that not only financially support them, but fulfill them on a deeper level.
