1. Digital Literacy

The ability to learn and adapt to new technology will be crucial. Having a willingness to understand digital advancements shows employers that prospects are eager to expand their existing skills and knowledge.

2. Data Literacy

Similarly, employees must be able to analyze and apply data where necessary in order to boost business, resolve issues and find new insights.

3. Critical Thinking

The internet has made echo chambers louder than ever, which often means that misinformation can run wild. For the future, top talent will need to be able to identify the most reliable resources that are void of bias.

4. Emotional Intelligence

Being able to clearly express and communicate emotions has never been more important. By having self-awareness about emotions, employees have the ability to understand how their behaviors can impact the company as a whole.

5. Creativity

While a broad term, creativity in the digital age has taken a life of its own. With people having access to countless tools and resources, being creative means creating and completing work that sets the company apart from others.

6. Collaboration

One of the more difficult skills to obtain in the modern workplace is collaboration. As companies become more hybrid and remote, finding ways to work alongside each other (in-person or virtually) becomes incredibly difficult. However, adopting and mastering the right tools can improve collaborative work.
