Seasonal hiring is at its peak, and with that comes a perfect opportunity for professionals to find temporary work, a side hustle or a potential new future career. Â
Taking analysis of 26,000 paid job listings, LinkedIn’s Economic Graph team was able to determine the top 10 seasonal jobs this year, which included: Â
- Salesperson
- Driver
- Cashier
- Retail salesperson
- Receiving associate
- Sales specialist
- Retail sales specialist
- Stock associate
- Store associate
- Truck driver
Unsurprisingly, the majority of in-demand jobs during the holiday season involve the retail industry as consumer demand hits annual highs. Â Â
Among the largest retailers hiring salespeople are Target, JCPenney’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Michaels.Â
Pay ranges depended on geography, with a Target seasonal salesperson in Iowa earning $15 an hour and $19 an hour in Mountain View, California. Â
In order to land one of these jobs, the study says that the top three skills needed are sales, communication and time management.Â
